Welcome to my blog! My name is Cassandra. Launched in 2023, cassandrastinger.com is a place for women of God to find resources that help them grow in their faith and books that inspire them to dream.
So What’s This Blog About?
I’m glad you asked!
Originally, I had no idea what I wanted to blog about, so I wrote about everything. Eventually I found that my favorite topics to write about are books and faith.
I’ve found that between these two topics, there’s a lot to say, but sometimes you may see me talk about a few other things too.
Who Are You?
I’m just a twenty-something from the Midwest who loves books, Jesus, chocolate, and warm weather.
From the time I was little I was always imaging and writing stories. I knew growing up I wanted to do something creative when I grew up. But it wasn’t until high school that I started considering writing as an actual career.
So when the editor of a local newspaper offered me an internship, I jumped at the chance.
From this internship I learned two things:
- My writing style is more suited to magazine journalism or blogging.
- And that writing is something that I truly love.
Since then, I’ve worked for an online magazine, became a teacher, published two short stories, and started writing a novel.
Fun Facts About Me:
- I love Mediterranean cuisine. It’s comfort food for me.
- My favorite fiction book is The Help by Kathryn Stockett.
- I hate Avocados with a passion.
- If I couldn’t be a writer, I would probably be a children’s librarian.
