The Bible is the ultimate book. It is the story of all stories. The truth that this world is so desperately lacking in. Which is what got me thinking that it was time that The Bible had it’s very own book tag.
What Is Your Favorite Parable That Jesus/Yeshua Taught?
I have always loved the parable of the talents found in Matthew 25:14-30.
Honestly, I don’t why it has always stood out to me though. I guess I just love the idea that he gives each of us a job to do for the kingdom and responsibilities based on what he want from us.
What Is Your Favorite Name Out Of The 12 Tribes Of Israel?
I have several names that I like. My favorites are Rueben, Benjamin, and Issachar. I just think those names sound so cool!
Who Is Your Favorite Female Hero In The Bible?
Why did I do this to myself? There are so many incredible women in The Bible it’s hard for me to pick one.
I love Deborah because she led an entire nation in a time when a women leading was unheard of. YHWH literally picked her because he knew she could do the job, it didn’t matter that she was a woman.
I also find a great role model in Esther. She lived in a time where an evil man wanted murder her entire people, but YHWH used her to save the Jews from genocide.
Do You Think The Torah Was Done Away With? What Are Some Verses That Support Your Position?
Absolutely not! The entire Bible supports the fact that Torah is forever.
But for specific verses:
Matthew 5:17-19
Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Heaven and Earth are still here. That means Torah is still relevant.
Proverbs 30:5-6
Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.
Do not add to His words,
Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.
1 John 2:3-6
Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.
To what commandments was John referring? It has to be the Torah because, they didn’t even have a New Testament yet.
Who Is Your Favorite King of Israel or Judah?
David. Despite the fact that he made a lot of mistakes in his life, he was still called A Man After God’s Own Heart.
I have to believe this is because he tried his hardest to obey, no matter what anyone said. And he loved YHWH with his whole heart.
Who Your Least Favorite King of Israel or Judah?
Ahab. He did not do what he was supposed to at all and he hurt a lot of people because of it. He let his wife kill a guy whose field he wanted for heaven sake! Not a good example of leadership at all.
Which Book Of The Bible Do You Often Reread?
Proverbs, James, 1 Samuel, Psalms, Matthew. Plus, my family and I read through the Torah portions every week.
What Version Of The Bible Do You Usually Read From?
Typically, I use the New King James Version as it is the easiest version for me to read. I also like The New English version.
Bible Case Or No Bible Case?
Right now, my Bible currently resides in the box it came in because the zipper on my Bible case doesn’t work properly and I don’t really want to pay for another one.
What Is Your Favorite Book Of The Prophets?
I would have to say Isaiah. The book of Isaiah discusses a lot of hard and scary things, but in between all of those things it reminds us to look at our Messiah.
Things in this world will continue to get more and more difficult, but if we keep our eyes on Him, the things that this world does won’t shake us.
