The bond between sisters is not easily broken. They stay together through thick and thin, no matter what.
In For A Lifetime, the third installment of the Timeless Series, Gabrielle Meyer brings readers yet another beautiful historical novel with a twist.
Overview
Genre: Historical Fiction/Christian Fiction
Identical twin sisters Hope and Grace live in two different timelines. Each night when they fall asleep, they wake up in the other timeline.
In 1692 they work in their widowed father’s tavern just outside of Salem as the witch trials begin to kick off.
In 1912, headstrong Hope is a pilot hoping to become a pioneer in aviation. Grace is a reporter for The New York Globe exposing corruption.
On their 25th birthday, they will have to choose which timeline they want to stay in. While they both know which timeline they want to stay in, the people in both places pull them in many directions. How will they make the decision? And will they stay together For A Lifetime?
My Thoughts
Thanks to Booktube, I had high expectations coming into For a Lifetime and I wasn’t disappointed. Meyer once again created a fascinating story that is full of hope and intrigue.
Both timelines are beautifully researched and written so that they immerse the reader in the settings. I loved the 1692 timeline in particular because it was so rich with colonial history which I am a little bit of a sucker for.
Hope and Grace were well-written and their bond was incredible.
Grace reminds me so much of Libby from the first book. Her fierce love for the truth paired with her compassion was absolutely captured Libby’s spirit. Grace my favorite character of this whole book and I would love to see more of her
Hope often speaks her mind without reservation which often gets her into trouble. She’s a daredevil and loves an adventure.
I tore through this book in a day and a half because I couldn’t wait to see what happened.
Final Thoughts and Rating
For a Lifetime is a perfect addition to this wonderful series. I can’t wait to read the next one, Across The Ages.
